Thanks Giving At The Gliddens

Thanks Giving at the Gliddens is an event that is totally crazy and fun. It is super crowded at my grams cause we have a huge family. And my grandmothers house isn’t always big. Their is always new family members and some times people I didn’t even know I was related to.

Preparation for Thanks Giving starts a day and sometimes two days before  Thanks Giving. My cuzins Ben and John Balentine come over to help. The night before we peel the vegetables the whole family, well the ones who live in Palermo anyway. We all pitch in to help with Thanks Giving.

The day of Thanks Giving is really fun. We always catch up with family who live far away. After we eat we do crafts with my aunt. After we hang around and pack up. 

The day after Thanks Giving we pick up and for lunch we have leftovers. And my Ben and John try to teach me to play football, it doesn’t all ways work out. Last Thanks Giving I taught all my guy cuzins how to knit, it was like a knitting club.

Thanks Giving at the Glidden house is like a huge party. You can’t barely 

walk around the house. I love it cause I know not every kid has a big family that they see every year, thats what I’m always thankful for. Having a great loving family.

I always look forward to Thanksgiving because I always have fun. I have so many memories of Thanksgiving at my grams. But this might be the last year that we have Thanksgiving at grams. One of the best memories I have was about three years ago. It was time to get the dessert out we usually have about 14 pies, gram made pumpkin pie and hers is always the best. She grabbed it and their where little mouse prints on the pie. What I’m saying is a mouse ran across the pumpkin pie. My gram was so mad that she was laughing.
